Choose your computer's download
Windows: open the downloaded CMD file. Mac: extract Bank-Grid-Mac.zip, then open Bank-Grid-Mac/Start-Bank-Grid.command. These are unsigned community scripts. Read the Windows source or Mac source before running.

Let it get RuneLite ready
The launcher downloads portable Temurin Java 11 for your platform, the fixed plugin source, Gradle and RuneLite dependencies. Java is about 185–200 MB; the build downloads additional files. No administrator install is required. Keep the launcher or Terminal window open.

Choose your character. Open your bank.
In RuneLite, use the Jagex auth sidebar → Add Jagex Account, select a character and click Play Now. Enable Bank Slot Borders in plugin settings and pick your grid style.

Know what you're opening.
This starts a separate RuneLite development client with the plugin. It does not install the plugin into your normal client or make it an approved Plugin Hub release.
The launcher never asks for a password or account token. Sign in only through RuneLite's Jagex account flow.

Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\BankSlotBorders. Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/BankSlotBorders. It keeps a portable Java runtime, verified plugin source and the Gradle build cache there. Normal RuneLite settings may still be shared by the development client. After closing the client, you can remove that BankSlotBorders folder to remove launcher downloads.
Do I need a Jagex account workaround?
No manual token copying. Use the Jagex auth panel in the development client. RuneLite's official instructions explain the sign-in process.
How do I update or report a problem?
This launcher uses plugin source revision d4e7b5a. It does not silently switch to a different plugin revision. Get a new launcher when the author publishes an update. Send build errors or a screenshot of misalignment to the GitHub issue tracker. Never include account tokens.
My Mac will not open the launcher. What now?
Use the Mac ZIP, not the Windows CMD file. Extract it first. If Finder reports missing execute permission, open Terminal, type /bin/bash followed by a space, drag the extracted Start-Bank-Grid.command into Terminal, then press Return. If macOS shows a security or malware block, stop and share the exact message with the author. The Mac launcher detects Intel and Apple Silicon; an actual Mac launch still needs testing. Linux and Windows ARM are not covered by these downloads.
Can I check the downloads?
The launcher checks SHA-256 hashes for the fixed source ZIP and portable Java ZIP before using them. Gradle's wrapper also checks its distribution. Launcher checksums and plugin source are available to inspect.
